What a cool environment… peeling wallpaper and paint, distressed window panes, broken light… a photographer’s paradise. Where is it? The light is amazing – the muted blue tones contrasted with some hope (the light from the window) is awesome. Love the framing as well – my kind of image. Great work!

Cheers Paul, it was in the Great Metropolitan Hotel, which fronts St Pancras Station in London, built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel in about 1868, stopped being used as a hotel in 1930, left untouched and abandoned. Marriott bought it and are turning it into a new hotel and flats, I was employed a few years ago to photograph the inside before they destroyed it, one of the best jobs ever.
