dreaming ties all mankind together

dreaming ties all mankind together

corner of mission and 2nd street, san francisco, holga madness.
kodak tri-x

turns out this is just up the road from the new RB office, but I didn’t know that when I took it.

(having only been to the US thrice i still find steam rising from the vents in the street most evocative, the locals probably find it annoying)

Effective shot – there’s something about holgas that can’t be duplicated with other cameras…

Very nice. You’re starting to put us digital folk to shame. Although I’m sure somewhere there is a $7,000 lens that I can slap on my $3,000 camera and process on my $4,000 computer with a $900 program to get the same effect. Digital is just so much cheaper and easier….

  • onetonshadow replied

i had no idea it was that easy. i shall immediately put down my 1980’s $29 holga and forget that i have negatives and can make this the size of a house and that it actually exists in the real world and my kids can find it in a box in my attic and not on a hardrive and immediately go and spend a few months wages on some equipment that will be surpassed in quality by end of the year.

you should run workshops on this stuff.
