carry on camping

I live overlooking the canal near Camden, and if you follow the path east a few hundred metres to St Pancras Station, you pass this completely bizarre apartment block. Which always reminds me of shit holidays.

Holga, cross processed, Kodak E100G medium format, untampered with blah blah.

They remind me of caravans, so I get where you’re coming from re shit holidays….having six brothers and two sisters meant we never went caravanning though….I guess there’s a lesson in that….

can’t imagine wanting to live in an expensive caravan park…..

Yes, that’s sort of what I thought, although I have to say, I’ve never actually set foot in a caravan, I just have a feeling it’s not what I would enjoy.

They’re like tents with less air movement, not ideal for the sub-tropics!

I think I actually woke up in those apartments once after a white wine and tequila bender. Felt like I was in a bakelite toaster. Go the Holga.

She was there, now she is floating face down in the direction of Bristol with a dent roughly the shape of a toy camera in the side of her head.

I find this image tremendously hopeful, and I`m not sure why.

The canal looking a bit haggard, raw concrete barriers, and this beautifully futuristic set of apartments boldly lining up, unashamed.

They drained a bit between the two locks the other day, my word, the filth, the mopeds, trolleys, dead birds.
And people swim in this you know. I mean kids do.

How bizarre indeed. I wonder if they have awnings out the front.

Corr, if they didn’t I’d build one, that’d be great, and a deckchair.
