My interest in Photography was sparked whilst still at School in the 1970’s, when I was approached by Professional Wedding Photographer to assist him with his Photography and Printing business. Over the years he became very much my mentor, developing and nurturing my Photographic skills, then encouraging me to seek a career in the Photographic industry. This resulted in my working in the Westend of London, in several large commercial Studios’ during the 1980’s.

After several years I met my then future Wife, which resulted in moving to a new geographic location, unable to find work in the local Photographic industry and lack of funds, pursued an alternative occupation.

However I still maintained my interest in Photography, but as an enthusiast Amateur, making the transition from Film to Digital in 2005. This also involved learning a new set of skills outside of a Darkroom, the new wonderful world of Digital Editing. In 2009 I reignited my interest in pursuing a career in Photography, our Canine friends being the second love of my life, it was only natural that both of these interests should merge and decided to specialise in Pet Photography. Dog Photography obviously being a personal favourite, from which I do derive so much pleasure from.

I know Canine Photography is not everyone’s Cup of Tea, in fact I know in some quarters it’s very much frond upon, but I hope even if briefly, I can share my passion with you.

Just a personal thing, I never list the equipment I use, I always liken it to asking an Author what Typewriter they use……

Kind regards

Mark

After arriving at 9.00 getting set up for 10.00, there was a constant queue of Canine models patiently waiting outside the Marque to have their Photograph taken….. a total of nearl…

Busy Weekend

Wow it’s all go. Have second Photographic session on Saturday with the loveable Leonbergers with me trying to squeeze into a Wetsuit, in fact it’s harder getting out, whilst in the back of the Car! Then on Sunday a large Dog Show, again in aid of a local Animal Shelter. Weather doesn’t look too bad, so hopefully should get good turn out.

Money Raised for Charity

Received nice letter today from the local Animal Charity we raised Money for during the recent 3 day Dog Show. The collection Tin contained nearly £88.00, added to the £58.00 from earlier in the year from another Dog Show, giving a total of £146.00 so far this year, not bad for taking Doggie Photographs. Another Dog show is fast approaching this weekend, lets hope the weather stays fine, see if w…
