Over the past few years I’ve tried to financially help as many national and local animal charities as possible. This year rather than spread that help very thinly among many, have chosen to support a single local Dog & Cat Sanctuary called Teckels, based in Whitminster, Gloucestershire. I’ve seen first hand just how hard these guys work on very little funding and are totally dedicated to the care of the Animals in their Sanctuary, but they are really struggling financially. Whilst most of the staff are volunteers, they still have Vet and Food Bills to pay, as well as the usual utility ones. Unlike some other Animal Charities, they have a policy of never euthanising a healthy Animal in their care. However it does create problems, as rehoming of some of the less popular breeds causes strain on the available resources and become ‘Kennel blockers’. So I’ve started a project to Photograph as many of the Dogs and Cats in a Studio setting to raise their profile and help with the rehoming process. Here is the first Dog a lovely Mastiff cross by the name of Coco, deciding to take an impromptu break during her Photo session, bless her.
All profit from purchases will be donated to Teckels.
If you would like to make a donation, there is a Just Giving link on their Website all donations would be gratefully received.
