This was taken at my friends’ Mark and Cathy’s. This cactus doesn’t have traditional prickly spines but rather small hairs which easily detach and imbed themselves under your skin.
They are barbed and a real nuisance, called ‘glochids’.
I brought it indoors to take this shot but it will immediately return to it’s place on the back porch before anyone uses the bathroom again!

My thoughts, art is to enjoy…to capture the moment or to process the idea.
I started with a pocket Canon Elph usually with an armful or 2 of groceries,
I’ve upgraded and now use a Canon EOS 550D and Photoshop Elements along with Picasa.
My aim is to make you smile. Come back often, there’s always something new.
