BLACK SABBATH

’. . . the long black night begins, yet still, by the lake a young girl waits, unseeing she believes herself unseen, she smiles, faintly at the distant tolling bell, and the still falling rain.’ Alas, she is soon to become a sacrifice in an satanic ritual!

Black Sabbath’s self titled song inspired by Dennis Wheatley, Mario Bava and Hammer Horror. In musical lore and legend the song gave birth to ‘heavy metal’. (They never called their music that, however.)

The image was made 2007 as a demo on the use of photoshop brushes and layering them. The girl in this image actually comes from another horror film. It seemed fitting to use it hear as it reminded of the ‘chase part’ of the song near the end.
