The description is just so naive and wonderful!!!
She is having a conversation… or not?
She is afraid.. she is cold..
    her wings are heavy…
    And she can´t walk… for.
    the skirt is tight..
    She is a wonder..
    she is divine..
she is a woman… angelic?.... angel?
    Why are angels like women?

Thanks for the view Rosa. Got you thinking I guess, which was my point in an image like this.

It seems like the trend these days is to present angels as women. In older art it was men, as we know. Not quite sure why things have changed. Any ideas?

    Men ..women….
All that we know is that they have not sex.. so they are not organic…could not be. We cannot think or represent anything that is just spiritual. Some religions have opted to the forbidding of represent God as iany image. Angels in our judeo – christian culture are mostlyguardians…and messengers. The most famous are the guardian anglen who threw Adan and Eve fro the Paradise.. and who obviously was a “meesenger” of very bad news…”God was terrible angry”. And the other one was the angel who announced the Virgin Mary that she was pregnant of the Saint Spirit…. all is out of this world… miraculous as if humanity was “denying” his ow carnal form. I think that this is the true Original Sin. A sin of Spiritual greed. So they turned the angel into something heroic like St. Michael… who fighted against the dragons… dragons… serpents… monstruous… When they submitt the Ying part the woman in human Nature…. then.. the angel becomes quite manl and a warrior…when the matter is less beligerant… the the angel is soft.. even dwarfing it like in the fuffly and pinky angels of the Classical Art ….for me is androginous… and a “way” or “messenger” of those dualistic sides i our nature.. the flesh and the spirit. They temperate our sideness… and they are relate with the Anima-Animus so much talked i the Jungian spychology. Dos anybody remember that the “Diable” is represented wether as a man…prosaic….lustful…intelligent… beautiful…or ugly… monstruous….we are ,enaced by our own images.. replicants of the things we do not know about ourselves but in the archetypical vision.

    Do you believe in angels?

  • RosaCobos

    RosaCobos, 4 months ago

    Factically..rationally…not.
There is a celebrated Gallego´s ( A region of Spain”) with a lot of witchraft story… there they are called “meigas”
And the celebrated joke.. or story is..
Someone goes to another and aks.. “Do you beleive in Meigas?”
    And the answer is..
No… but.. “haber las hay las” (are there… ther are..)
    My heart is open…
    My mind is closed…
    My body is sensible…
    Y expectations are Universal..
I am just… a “human Being”... catch it?
have a huga from a solicited “white whitch”.

great imagery, emotion and detail. Soft (female), yet hard (silver color), gothic design is striking.
