Dangerous Days

Dangerous Days

Dangerous Days was the original name of the screenplay and film, Blade Runner.

The lighting seemed reminiscent of the volumetric lights used in the movie.

Blade Runner is one of my favourite movies of all time, and the book is another favourity, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Well, the answer is no!

Apparently, they dream of Unicorns.

What a fabulous image! Gorgeous use of light!

  • Robert O'Neill replied

Thanks Mel. Volumetric lighting looks great in a scene and Blade Runner had it in abundance.

Well ’’Do Androids ….’’ ... that’s one of my favourite Sci-Fi books of all time, a real classic.
The imagery in this photo is superb

  • Robert O'Neill replied

Philp K. Dick was a great writer—chemically enhanced, perhaps, but great.

I have read most of the short stories they have turned into films. Only Blade Runner has any feel of excellence for me. The others were a bit to reliant on action sequences.

Philil K. Dick’s stories are metaphysical and theological, not really action—Blade Runner has that in it.

Blade Runner is also one of my most favorite movies. The constant shining of searchlights in the unending night-like environment – you’ve captured that very well here :)

Man – I need to watch that today :)

  • Robert O'Neill replied

Thanks Anthony. It is a brilliant film. One of the best. The mood, effects, plot—just amazing.

I might watch it again myself today.

Thanks Danilo. Just an amazing film. A lot of creative talent went into it—from Philip K. Dick to Ridley Scott, plus the screen writers, the concept artists the technicians etc.,
