Acrylic on Acrylic board. By Kyle Bultman, aged 11. Exploring acrylic painting with some of my students. Kyle used an online image as reference. I helped him with details, as he is just starting out in drawing and painting. In painting the image, we followed a very exacting regime, essentially adopting/adapting the ‘Flemish’ technique as closely as possible. A bit ambitious perhaps, but the students are ‘learning’ and the technique seemed to require less ‘tidying up’ and fixing.
