This photograph is remarkable in so many ways, Olga. The pyroclastic flow from the caldera evolving into the foreground of wildflowers is very paradoxic; so symbolic of rebirth and renewal. You have captured the phoenix rising up from the ashes. You have quite successfully showcased both the majesty and wonder of nature… the power of God’s handiwork. Very impressive shot, indeed!
Olga Zvereva replied
Thank you very much, Clark! I’m appreciated for your wonderful comments!

beautiful shot, Olga – congrats on your win in the volcano challenge! I wish it had been that pretty the day I went! What time of day and year was this, do you remember?
Olga Zvereva replied 29 days ago
Hi Barb! Thank you very much for congratulation! It was in the end of July of 2006, afternoon, around 3pm. The flowers come there little early in comparison with Mt. Rainier. The shot done from Johnston Ridge Observatory area.
