Artist's Description

The White Half Track was usually attached to a patrol and one of the essential cross country vehiles in the invasion of France in W.W.II. Usually fitted with some form of armament like this one with a .50 cal. Browning Machine Gun or sometimes a small anti-tank gun or even a 4 × .50 cal. Browning revolving Anti-aircraft mount in the back.
Taken at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway War Weekend 2012.
