    The RAF started off the Mountain Rescue Teams to look for crashed planes.

    The RAF may still have Mountain Rescue Teams. They came from all branches/trades and are all volunteers.

    Very Nice Ted! I like the look of this unit! I’ve been out in 4WD’s as part of the State Emergency Service (Tasmania) undertaking wilderness search and rescue, including mountain terrain (like Cradle Mountain National Park in Tasmania) and I very much appreciate a very good well equipped unit!
