Poland used armoured trains extensively during German the Invasion of Poland. This in turn prompted Germany to reintroduce armoured trains into its own armies. Germany used them to a small degree during World War II. However, they introduced significant different designs, including railcars which housed anti-aircraft gun turrets, and railcars which had complete armour protection with a large gun/howitzer. This one seen at Levisham on the NYMR War Weekend October 2013.
