This piece reflects on the importance endings and new beginnings-
like fire that consumes everything in its path, it is never without the intention to create, to reinvent, to cleanse and heal to make way for a purer form of the previous life that existed. A small fragile girl clutches and clings to a book, frightened by her desolate surroundings, but not hopeless. Within the book is the story of her existence in this life. Dirty from the soot of destruction, she has nothing, but her story is proof that she is still alive through so much devastation.
