Artist's Description

I painted this quite a while ago, Oil on canvas board. Put it into an exhibition and sold it next day.

Flying boat taking of from Solent Water.
Anyone help with the type as I have forgotten it.

Research findings by Neil Wooding:
G-AGGA is a Boeing 314A owned by BOAC and called “Berwick”. They were known as ‘Clippers’.
On 17th January 1942 this flying boat was returning from the USA with the PM Winston Churchill on board, after visiting President Roosevelt, when it was nearly attacked by some Hurricanes, mistaking it for a German bomber.
During W.W.II would probably have been camouflaged.
