Fleur

Olga van Dijk

Avondale (Pennsylvania), United States

Artist's Description

Oil on studio stretched canvas 16′×20′ (40×50 cm)
This is an oil portrait of our youngest daughter
Anne Fleur.
I love the simplicity of this portrait, the placement, colors, and her smile.
Purposely I didn’t accent her makeup and jewelry, but rather her natural beauty and personality.
I added a little bit of green (complementary color)in the left upper corner to take the heat off this painting, but to keep the warmth of her character, which really does come from within!
I’m pretty happy with the end result and framed her in a rich golden plein air frame, which gives her a golden glow.
Fleur a real free spirit and a beautiful person, from the inside and outside.
She just finished her studies in New York and set her first steps in the fashion world of New York City.

(Painting is in the private collection of the van Dijk Family)
