Red Lichen Rocks at Whisky Bay, Wisons Promontory, Victoria, Australia.
When I seen these rocks my first thought was… who spilled paint all over these rocks…This is a natural colour of a type of fungi and algae…I think I read that right…any way they look fantastic and can be found throughout the Prom, also down the east coast of Tassie.

Great color and texture Steve, so rough against that soft sky.

  • G’day Rosie, The colour and ruggedness of these rocks is what drew me to take this image… Thanks again Rosie for another great comment and for the fav. ;-)

Masterpiece once again Steve. You have an eye for detail and your image here is very striking. I like the red on the rocks, very unusual. Brilliant work Steve, I expect nothing less mate hehe.

  • Ha ha! Thank you my friend, the red on the rocks is a combination of fungi and algae and it looks like they have been painted…Gee your a hard taskmaster. ;-)
