The book of dreams by OldeArte
Clear

I have decided to start colouring some of these, in particular the ones from very small originals…I’m starting to get an idea of what I am trying to create and this one gained approval from my valued in house critic so here it is. Original Illustration from a page of an 1841 edition of Gil Blas by Lesage (transalted by Smollett)

Wood engraving created from pencil drawing on wood by Jean Francois Gigoux for an 1835 edition.

Original image size 2.5 × 3.5 inches. Illustration scanned and coloured in photoshop by Soxy Fleming
