The dew
Covers the earth
A blanket
For the fresh grass.
The sun
Awake
From a long night’s sleep
Breaks through
The night’s dark barrier.
The birds
Chirping loudly
As if to wake
The whole sleeping world
And to break the silence
Of the quiet night.
And me
Wrapped in my blanket
Sound asleep
Unaware
Of the world around me.
