Roast Duck

All they wanted was just a slice, a piece, a crumb! They could see the comotion from the river side and waddled over to get a piece of the action but could they get a beak in? No! Those birds just hogged it all to themselves- poor ducks.

Oh that’s funny! The little birds telling the bigger ones off! What kind of birds are the green ones anyway? I’ve never seen ones with purple heads before!

yeah well I guess when you’re in a group you feel more comfortable standing up to bigger birds : ) I think they actually a blue heads. Here’s abit about them that I found on the net.

Just as its name suggests, the Rainbow Lorikeet is a beautiful bird. It is widespread throughout the forests of Eastern Australia and South Australia and is also a common sight in urban areas. It’s a very noisy bird, with a lot to say and is often seen in large flocks making high pitch screeching and chattering, especially when feeding. It feeds on nectar and pollen and is oblivious to almost everything else whilst feasting.

You can tell the Rainbow Lorikeet apart from similar looking parrots by its unique streaked blue head and orange chest.

In 1774, the Rainbow Lorikeet was the first Australian bird ever to be illustrated in colour.
