An oil piece inspired by the background of one of my digital pieces, ‘The Sundered’, sometimes I’ve got to put down the tablet, get out the paints, and make the studio smell like oils again, it’s a tranquilizing aroma. Thanks for looking.
The natural world around me is the major catalyst for my work. The details I see in nature can often be found emulated in my work. Besides my wife and my two kids, drawing, painting fill in the cracks for me, and make my life a work of art. I must create.

Huh! When I looked at The Sundered I was quite drawn to the beautiful woods behind the Octobull…and now you have painted it! And it’s gorgeous, so rich, so deep, full of secrets and mystery and promise. A whole life could be around that bend in the river…or it could be a ‘heart of darkness’. lol Wondering if you can post how large the original is?
