Mixed Media work with Digital paintwork in CS6
Mixed Media Artist specialising in Digital work.
very beautiful work and I love the quote too it would be very interesting to know the degree of digital and actual “in material” work which goes into your images and also the scale, ( but i realise that it is a part of the enchantment when one does not know and is left guessing :)
Anna, thank you for such a great comment. The ratio of tactile work to digital work varies from piece to piece. Most are majorly ‘in material’ with only digital colour correction and minor paint work and/or touch ups. Others use only scans of works in progress and are finished with digital work. When a work states mixed media it can contain one piece of varied materials or be a combination of several pieces collaged together and finished cohesively with digital mastering. I generally just do what feels right and experiment . I continually push my own boundaries with how these two ‘states’ can work together and develop my ideas. I could, i suppose, enhance each piece with a detailed description but to be honest some pieces go through so many stages i have forgotten by the time of completion. I will endeavour to detail further when possible. If there is any piece you would like a further description on,please do ask. i would be only to happy to oblige. : )
