Checking the Fence

Sue Hodge

Dubbo, Australia

Artist's Description

The Dog Fence (or Dingo Fence) is the world’s longest fence. The dog fence runs from Queensland to the Coast of South Australia covering 2500 km’s. It was designed to keep Dingo’s (Australian native dogs) away from live stock such as sheep and cattle. The fence is still maintained today.

The original painting is now hanging on a wall in Texas USA. It was painted using acrylic paint on board.
