Mud Maid, lost gardens of Heligan by

The Mud Maid is a sculpture set in the woodland walk at the lost gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey, Cornwall, England.

Made up from part of a fallen tree, some soil, plants and sculpture, she lies on the outer edge of a set of gardens that surround a large country house. The gardens had become derelict and lost for over half a century but are now being restored. This mystical figure is one of the new additions.

Shot with a Nikon D5100 camera set at f8, 1/100 sec, iso 400, with a 18-200mm Nikkor lens at 27mm focal length.

A RAW image processed in Photoshop CS6.

Featured in Sculpture group.
