Sensational!!! This is one of the best shots I’ve seen in a while. The lighting, the sillhouetted tree. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more fantastic stuff like this from you in the future.

As much as I like the image, why place the horizon in the middle? The ambivalence about what is the primary subject is a distraction.
I might offer a distinction that as a gross generality, most find the reflections to be a smiggin’ more interesting than the actual objects. Based on that, I’d tend to swallow hard and crop some off the top to give emphasis to the reflection.
Paul Mercer replied
Thats a fair call Zane, I have got another shot where the horizon is not in the centre of the photo and I will upload that pic at some stage, the main reason I uploaded this one is because this one is my personal favourite. I never expect everyone to like all my photos but thats one of the great things about any sort of art form, everyone is going to have a different opinion.
Thank you very much for your comment Zane, I do value your opinion even though I may not necesarily agree with it.

Love this shot, I personally am glad you placed the horizon in the centre, it completes this image, reflecting two peaks and that absolutely beautiful light. I miss NZ, your PF is very beautiful Paul :-)
