was born ages ago, lived uptill now and not gonna die anytime soon. And I did all this in the Netherlands.
Very nice Nicole. I had one of these a long time ago in beautiful wood. Looks lovely!
I was looking for stuff to use in my ongoing investigation of sillhouet photography and couldnt believe I didnt think of the old peppermill sooner LOL. I can be such a blonde!

Ha-ha!! Watch it! I’m sort of blondish… I guess you are too? My grandkids are little blondies too. So this is sillhouet photography… looks smashing. I don’t know how you get the black background and I’m too embarrassed to tell you how I get my black backgrounds… LOL!
You paint them black with an editing program? Just a guess LOL. No worries, I also have to do that with some of the photos. This one though is straight from the camera. Its not that hard. I have this bright little lamp on a wall, I put a table underneath it with the peppermill, make sure the light touches the peppermill on the right side and I use the sillhouette scene on the camera. The closer you get your light to the subject and your camera to the subject, the darker the background will be. Just make sure you do this in a pretty dark room. Its fun to try this without any kind of studio available, it requires you to get very creative. Last night I had my hubby strip down because I needed his black clothes for background LOL. Im running out of ideas on subject tho…sigh, that means I have to shop!
Very nice light Nicole, well done
Thank you very much :-)
Ha-ha!! I’m laughing this morning. I wonder if my husband would strip for me for a photo shoot…! Your husband is a good sport!! I don’t use an editing program… I’m just not that savvy! I use my little laptop cover. Not ideal as it’s shiny. Perhaps I should get my husband to buy a black shirt!! LOL!
well you use your laptop cover…I sometimes use the tv….:-) Theres no shame in being creative to get what you want! And the husband should complain when we want them to undress hehehe
Congratulations! Your stunning work has been featured in the group 1 Theme – 4 Challenges – Theme: Minimalism.
Thank you so much for the feature :-)
