Super shot that tells a story all by itself. Wonder who gets to sit in it. A similar chair is situated on the top of the hill (mountain) in Broken Hill, inland NSW near to the mine and cafe area. This reminded me of that. Although the chair at Broken Hill is enormous, you would need a ladder to get to sit on the top. I have a pic of it somewhere. Must find it. Anne

Thanks for the comment, Anne. This bench and another one a hundred yards up the same hill are located on prime vista points, except… the really nice view is actually behind them… :) So, few people actually sit on them.

Thanks! I do highly recommend visitng this place in Death Valley. In the winter, though – summers are way too hot… :)

This might sound a little nuts, but I I get a great feeling of vastness from this picture. This feeling is probably aided by the angle of the shot. I get the feeling that there’s nothing aound for miles and that by the time you’ve climbed that hill, you’re well and truely ready to sit down. A terrific photo.
Nickolay Stanev replied
Thanks for the comment! I was trying hard to get rid of the mountains behind, which is part of the reason why the angle is so low. Glad you like it!
