I painted this scene plein air one sunny summer morning and tried to capture the warmth and serenity of the moment. I feel like taking a beach chair and relaxing with some liquid refreshment! Oil paint on canvas board.
Color and Light are two things I go after both in oil and watercolor painting. I have been painting in oil for about twenty years and in watercolor just a couple years. Landscapes, garden scenes, marine scenes, and still lifes
are painted in a realistic manner with an impressionistic flair and texture!

Yes, I painted this scene on location I believe at Charlestown beach on the CT shore. There was a large man made “breakers” jutting out into the water where fishermen would fish.
