my inspirations are: medieval fantasy, science fiction, japanese prints, librarians, secretaries, middleclass girls, shy people, beards, pale suits, maladjustment, sea creatures, the supernatural, freckles, and ktla channel 5 on sundays when I was a kid.
my work explores the themes of unconventional beauty, innocence, decay, imperfection, sublimated sexuality, transience, impermanence, mystery, and horror.
i’ve been obsessed with paper dolls since i was 5. they are my paper avatars, living my dreams.
