This morning I looked out the window early (about 7AM-early for me!) and saw this red spectacle in the skiy over the Rocky Mountains in my back yard. I ran to get my camera and got one shot before it left – a lot happened fast before I got it together!
As the winter commences, the angle of the sun gets higher and warms us sooner and causes the skies to bring out their most colorful displays of the year. If i had the room, I would leave my camera set up by the window ready for business in the morning. But I’m very thankful for the little surprises I get by chance such as this!
This was shot on my Canon XTi with 28-300mm lens. I don’t know what setting except for iso 400 – it was grabbed and shot so fast.
