It’s photo’s like this I aspire to, but lack the grace or guts to do of myself. I live with the dream of an illusion that I’m still young, and whilst the mirror may lie, the camera can be far too honest for my liking. Maybe one day…

Thank you John, i took it but it really looked a lot harsher than I wanted it to!! My wife doesn’t like it at all. However, it’s a very good experience.

I feel this is a a great study of a man with much character, showing his passion for the flute quite well.
A very good composition with good exposure, focus, tonal range and contrast presents this self portrait very nicely.

Lovely image, always wanted to learn to play the flute, I can get a lovely sound out of one, but haven’t a clue what the notes are!

Thank you for your comments Squealia. The flute is quite complex, what with the notes, fingering correct blowing and timing all at the same time. And once you have it, you must deep practicing ( hence the picture) or lose it!
