Clouds Washing Up On to the Mountain Peaks
A quick change from a cold overcast day to a clear one revealed this dramatic change over the mountain peaks (9,000’) These are the peaks of the Organ Mountains which in turn are part of the southern Rocky Mountains of New Mexico. and this view is only a part of the entire row of mountains I can see every day from my backyard and at my dining room table. You’d think I would have taken a series of wonderful shots at that time but the scene changed so rapidly, I was lucky to pull this rabbit out of the hat, so to speak. We had to pay extra for the view when we built the house. Now we call it our “Thousand Dollar View”!
Thank you Boredom Group Competition for FEATURING my picture after WINNING the Competition!!!. The other pictures are all top quality. It is now the AVATAR for May,June.

G’day David,
This scene must have taken your breath away, let alone the thin air at that altitude.
Wonderful, glorious light and those wave-like clouds make for a grand photograph.
Exposed well, with good focus and good colour and contrast, you have a winner here mate.

Congratulations, David, on the honors your work has earned, and will continue to earn for you!
At first this looked like a wave breaking on a rock, which might have inspired your title—but when I clicked on it, it’s an awesome shot from above the clouds.
