I was bored and so went out to photograph my favorite subjects in the evening light. No matter where I was-there was Bullseye right behind me.
I thought I had finally ditched him at the water trough. It had been nearly empty so I rinsed it out and stuck the hose in there and left him there to play in the cold, running water.
I walked about 60 feet away to photograph the clientele partaking in the equine buffet also known as the round bale.
I wasn’t overly consumed in my quest of snapping the eating habits of these long tooth herbivores and I consider myself to have exceptional hearing ( I AM a Mom!) BUT I was unaware of the stealth-like,tip-toeing,talent of this 1100lb. animal. That is,until I felt the cold dripping water run down my bare leg.
He might as well had tapped me on the shoulder. Thanks Bullseye, for watching my back! (and drenching my leg!)
