Found this Biting Jumping Spider – Opisthoncus mordax, in my backyard garden at Emerald Beach, NSW, Australia. As it didn’t seem to be going anywhere I set the camera up on a tripod and he became very interested and proceeded to jump into the lens each time I moved in for focus. So I kept putting him back where he was and he kept jumping on the camera! So I jacked up the ISO with the hope that I might get a jump image, given it was late afternoon the light was low and I wasn’t fast enough. In this shot he is sending out a “jump” line prior to launch!
