Havent had the privilege of this species yet………maybe up trip to the north coast is in order. Fantastic capture by the way!

  • Thanks Steve, A trip north would be good. I’m pretty sure I’ve got the species right but if you think otherwise let me know. He was a fairly robust guy, similar in size to a S. tenuis. I saw 3 or 4 of these wandering through the Dorrigo NP.

What a gorgeous looking skink! Nice capture Norm! Hey, out of curiosity, how is the 7D treating you…?

  • Thanks Tarnyacox, interesting skink only found over a small restricted area (assuming I’ve go the ID correct!). The 7D is a great camera BUT does demand that you understand it (much like a good woman I think?). Most seem happy but some of the earlier “issues” in forum turned out to be people not understanding the settings or defaults. There is some discussion Di Jenkins forum and comments from me SEE

I can see the influence of your painting experience in your work Norm. Your shot have that artistic feel to them, as opposed to just documenting what is coming through the lens. I like the lines and color in this particular one. A beautiful picture—of a lizard of all things! LOL. —Steve

  • Steve that was a very insightful and pleasing comment. I really appreciate you taking to time to look me up. Thanks Mate!
