Robust Velvet Gecko ( Oedura robusta ) by

These guys were found in Coffs Harbour. Thanks to Steve Sass these guys are identified as Robust Velvet Gecko ( Oedura robusta ) not Oedura lesueurii as I first thought. Very soft and Velvity! This guy has a regenerated tail. Unlike the Leaf Tail Gecko these guys have suction type pads on their feet!

Gday Norm, my thoughts here are O.robusta . Note the broad plump tail, pattern variation from lesuerii also.

  • Thanks Steve, although I usually research on line I use my Reptile book for this one. I can see that it was not a good specimen and have now updated this photo. Appreciated mate!
