I went to a dark moist rainforest gully at Moonee feeling sure it would reveal a vast array of fungi. Just goes to show you can never tell. Apart from quite a few leechs and ticks this was the only single specimen I could find (still awaiting my field goide for identifications).

WoW – what a great bit of photography mate. I know how hard the lighting is in these situations.

  • I’m miles behind in my responses (being off line for a month or so). Really appreciate your visit and comment. Thanks

This is simply stunning Norm. It has a great mood about it and fantastic DOF. If this was the only fungi I found, I’d be happy – what a specimen!

Fantastic! You have a wonderful collection of images in your gallery. Particularly love the birds & fungi : )

  • Thank you very much Leeo, I always thought I was a bird shooter but lately I’ve had enormous encouragement from the RedBubble Mycologists (like Esther, Carla and Dennis) I’ve found Fungi hunting very very addictive!! Oh well there are probably worst things I could be doing. Thanks for favouring so much of my work. Appreciated.
