Huntsman Spider, Isopeda vasta by

This large Huntsman spider was difficult to photograph, NOT because he was going to attack me as a parasitic wasp had already paralysed him. The wasp dropped him trying to carry him through the kitchen. I moved the spider outdoors only to find that his "other captor had followed it’s prize and was very keen to reclaim him (which he did). I was more worried about the agitated wasp than the spider!

Huntsman Spider, Isopeda vasta (probably but they are hard to tell).

AGH! excellent macro – the only good thing about wasps I guess …..

  • I think so too sometimes, Only today I had a Huntsman run up my arm (freaked). Where is a wasp when you need one.
