I was proud when I first produced this as it was my first really extensive manipulated in Photoshop after discovering the versatility of adjustment layers. . It started life as a photo of a work mate and his wife. I took out Tim and left Helen. In a separate vector workspace I drew the orbs used for the ear rings and “cut” Tim’s eyes out and placed them in the orbs which I added to Helen’s earrings (as well as redrawing her eyes) after I had drawn in her new skin texture, hair and other facial and clothing features. Most of the work was done with laborious selections, copy and paste, pattern brushes and adjustment layers. I have now learned I could have done a much quicker (this took 25 hours work) and more convincing job using the history brush and the marvellous masking layers (rather than selections). I hope to redo this just to see if I could do better with my improved knowledge.
