My Life as it stands

So…i find myself pondering….where…what…when….who….how…..we all like to know these questions but there are times in our lives where we stop for whatever reason to ask ourselves these things in the hope that an answer may present itself.

I am in a stage of my life…i have been out partying and DJ’ing and all that, kind of paying for it now as my health is not as good as it should be.

I have however found myself drawn more towards the world and nature in general and specifically i have 3 nephews now…all of whom are the most amazing little guys and i have another on the way. The family is a huge part of life in my opinion and should be valued highly. For me it means that i have support and even just a means of cheering up when the world brings me down. (when i see my nephews, no matter what mood i am in, i am assured to be leaving with a smile on my face)

I have also found the most amazing person who loves me completely and totally, which mind you is an amazing feeling…especially when your feelings for that person are as strong and profound.

My life as it stands is an amazing symphony of emotions that sure at times can be sad but for the most part happy. I am reaching out through my talents into area’s that have been far to long neglected, one of these is my passion for photography.

My passion for photography started at an early age, mum recalls me always being intruiged by camera’s and photo’s. This passion was fanned by the ability to study 2 years of photography using SLR Cameras and black and white film. During this time i learned the in’s and out’s of both the artistic and technical side of filming, developing, enlarging and solarizing my own prints.
I have always since had my own various camera’s both compact and slr but have i guess come to fruition wiht my new Canon 40D DSLR.
The shots you see on this site are all taken by me in this time of exploring Digital SLR, i occasionally use filters such as circ PIR and UV of course along with some others and have been using the 70-300mm ef zoom and 17-55mm standard lens that came with it.

Due to many low light conditions that i enjoy photographing in i have also ordered the F1.4 50mm lens to allow much great apeture size and more light to enter the lens without having to bring the sensitivity up too much.

Anyhoo…that’s me and my life as it stands, hope you enjoyed reading this and i will try to share more of my thoughts (there are lots to watch out)
