The railway station at Barnawartha, VIC once was bustling with activity. The station is on the Sydney -Melbourne line and would have been an important connection for those outlying towns, but now it sits abandoned with no-one but the swallows and possums appeciating its presence.

As I sat on the platform with the afternoon sun beating down, I imagined how it would be to have such reliance on the train. As my imagination got carried away I pictured myself sitting with an old suitcase by my feet and wearing a Victorian era dress and sharing a cup of tea with the station master while I waited for the train. Where was I going?
