I am happy to report that I had a very positive art show in December (2015). It was a solo show and all the people who came were enthusiastic and purchases reached my targeted goal..I took place at 93 Hill Street in St. Boniface, Manitoba. I will post pictures from another device soon but I am now working on new projects for this year.
I am very prolific with my art these days and I am leading a group in Winnipeg in West Broadway at West Broadway Community Ministry where we gather and make drawings and paintings and have a very enjoyable experience. We sustain our group by selling printed greeting cards at venues. Plus i am also with another artist circle at St.Matthews-Maryland. Presently I am preparing for three art shows here in our city-two group shows and my own where the themes will include surreal-collage landscapes, cats and whimsey. Also I have been asked to create a painting on the theme of a murder mystery to be supported by a short story. i will be influenced by tv Netflix series such as Inspector Lewis, Inspector Morse and Midsomer Murders.
Life continues to be filled with creativity and contemplation. I have painted about 22 new paintings mostly with water colour. They are whimsical and fanciful. There are unusual tree houses and oversized cats and transparent high rises disappearing into the sky. The left side usually contains a tree trunk with painterly texture, pencil crayon colours and collage bits. However I must put some on this site very soon.
At the end of June 2014 one of my paintings won an award for best mixed media in the Red River Annual Art Exhibition.
I completed teaching at Canadian Trillinium School in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was an amazing experience and I would appreciate going back some time in the future for a visit.
I am concentrating on art endeavours especially drawings of creatures in unique settings. The settings are partly influenced by my travels to Bali and Bangladesh.
Welcome red bubblers and others to my page
