Galapogas tortoise series continued by Nora Fraser

Galapogas tortoise series continued by

This is a water colour and acrylic painting of the tortoise with poppy shell. It measures 14 by 11. This painting is a symbol of imaginative thinking. The elder tortoise is very old and moves slowly and is painfully aware of old enemies dating back a century and a half so he has self created a shell made of the bloom of a flower. This poppy flower is light and can carry him away to unique hiding places behind boulders and even into the sky.

I paint the poetry of life and I write about the whimsy of painting
