Held in time
The first image in a series currently on exhibition at the Brunswick St Gallery Ftizroy
About this series….
These images evoke a sense of the struggle we sometimes have with the eternal shackles that tie us to a connection or time in our life that holds us back from experiencing life and love and prevents us from moving forward. This series depicts a woman struggling to free herself – a million thoughts and ideas as to why she is there, how she got there and how she can gain the strength to free herself from this restraint (imagined or real). To forgive, to understand and once again have faith – she finally finds herself in a place of happiness and bliss. A new beginning for her world and a new chapter of her life…
Held in time belongs to the following groups:

I love your take on it Naomi…it sorta has an ethereal ambience – almost like the presence of angels is there in the background…i believe they’re always there in the background watching over us – looking forward to the series, you’ve whet my appetite :)

I’m not sure that she looks as thoug she’s in a state of bliss, but I really like the underlying rationale to this image, Naomi!
