Davis Lake Sunset
Backpacking through the Eastern Sierras we came to Davis Lake up around 10,000 feet. When we first arrived it was absolutely perfect, deep blue sky and white puffy clouds, but that did not last long as the weather soon turned bad as a menacing thunderhead came over the top of us. Within 5 minutes its began hailing viciously as thunder rang out so loud it almost heart the ears. We endured this beast for 30 minutes until it finally passed. Minutes later after the storm had passed we heard a thundering sound, but this time not from the storm. A canyon on the far side of the lake had collapsed. Would I go through it again for another chance at a shot like this? Hell Yea
