Moonlight Falls

Moonlight Falls

Moonlight Falls in the High Sierras.

Because of a very stormy June there is so much water in the Sierra backcountry which means 3 things:

1. The waterfalls are absolutely fantastic right now
2. The wildflowers are better than I have ever seen
3. MOSQUITOS. Like you couldnt even imagine! It is pure torture back there right now!

But I would brave that miserable hike through billions of mosquitos any day to get shots like this.

Beautiful shot Nolan…I can relate to the mosquitoes….a headnet works well but not if they fly in front of the camera lens.

Great composition man, I really like this shot. Very unique. In a simple compositional way it reminds me of a lot of the shots I have seen of Sol Duc falls in Olympic National Park.

Now this is a great shot. And I understand it might take a view this magnificent to over-ride the mosquito insanity than can take place. What a scene – and perfectly shared via your fine work.
