Owens Valley Petroglyphs by Moonlight
The Owens Valley has numerous petroglyph site. These petroglyph’s may have been made by the Paiute/Shoshone Indians but arrowheads that date to 10,000 years old have been found in this area, so it is difficult to say who really created them.
In the background is White Mountain Peak, the third tallest in California at 14,252 ft.

Awesome composition, what a beautiful place! I bet it must’ve been very peaceful waiting for the shutter to close-open and watching the stars :)

Great petroglyph perspective. I love the contrast between the slate grey rocks and blue sky/mtns. Of course the stars are an added bonus! This is my favorite petroglyph image I have seen.
