Conscience (Just did it)
Inspired by the talents of Mr.Nolan for the Flash Fiction challenge
“Unleaded petrol?”
“No,no…diesel…diesel that’s better”
“But it stinks”
“No, I read that it’s more economical and burns longer and that makes it more environmentally preferable”
“Wow, never would have guessed that. Diesel it is”
The two avengers filled their containers.
Metal of course.
They used a rock to smash the back window of the multi national shoe store and splashed the accelerant through the opening.
And threw in a match.
As they watched the store burn from a safe distance, one was heard saying to the other.
“You know? At least my conscience is clear…. using the diesel that is”
