Salvating for Sugar

This ruby throated female was hanging in the air over our feeder. She seemed to be waiting for the right moment to begin drinking. Her tongue was already out as she anticiapted her feast….I think….Taken from inside my “bird blind” window. The reddish cast on her underside seems to be a reflection of the red feeder directly below her.

    Mahalo Sharon. The hummers have been very active lately and i watch them through my window and try to capture them in action. A challenge! (Are there hummingbirds in Hawaii? I really don’t know.)
